Basant, now a day has become synonymous with quality food and ambience that suggests a perfect place to hang out & pamper our taste buds. It's strategically located at various locations in the city to boast its presence. With a humble beginning in 1954 at jail road, Basant achieved many landmarks, achievements in the trade & became a hotspot for the Ludhianvis & a perfect host for the regular visitors to the city.
In 1992 Basant laid another milestone by entering into the fast food business, established at Field Ganj, Spurred by its success, in 1996, a new branch was opened at Fountain chowk, which received tremendous response, subsequently in 1998 Basant opened its packing counter at Malhar Road which was branded as "Basant Take Away counter".
The Basant Group certainly seems to have a midas touch. In 1999 Basant opened a resort in Sarabha Nagar with beautifully built in restaurant, banquet hall for 150 persons, open air garden restaurant with an ice cream parlor along with a fast food corner and hall for bigger functions. Basant group also has various franchises in Punjab. Basant group is professionally managed by its promoters Rajinder Singh Basant, Kanwalpreet Singh Basant.
